It’s not that easy to make an appointment at doctor’s  in Russian language. However, practising the keyphrases, you can learn a lot.

Everyone has situations when they need to ask a doctor for help. You can read the dialogue between the doctor and the patient, learn how to talk about the symptoms, as well the names of the most common medicines. In the dialogue, you can see a typical conversation between a doctor and a patient who asked for a consultation. The doctor begins the appointment by asking the patient about his symptoms and also tells him the possible diagnosis and prescribes medications. You will learn how to say in Russian such symptoms of illness as headache, sore throat, and fever. Also, in the dialogue, you can see the names of typical common medicines that are prescribed for colds and flu: antibiotics, antipyretics, and sore throat spray. Read the dialogue and the glossary.
